NICOLE BERTHIAUME, CPDT-KA has been a Professional Dog Trainer since 2001. In 2021
Nicole relocated to Atlanta, GA after 20 years in Los Angeles. Nicole began her career after volunteering at the Pasadena Humane Society &
SPCA, as a Senior Pet Trainer at a local PetSmart. She worked successfully with hundreds of dogs and their "parents" over her 3 years
there, while forming some wonderful and long-lasting relationships with many of her clients. Nicole also worked as a Pet Counselor and Veterinary Assistant for Banfield the Pet Hospital during this
time.
After leaving Petsmart, Nicole went to San Francisco to study with with renowned,
award-winning Trainer and Author Jean Donaldson. Nicole earned her Counseling Certificate in Dog Behavior from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog
Trainers (now The Academy for Dog Trainers), widely regarded as the "Harvard for Dog Trainers," before founding Teacher's Pet Dog Training.
Nicole is a Certified Professional Dog
Trainer and a Member of the Association of Pet Dog
Trainers, has worked as a Certified Evaluator for the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Program, and has served as a Mentor for students enrolled in the Animal Behavior College's Dog Trainer Certification program.
Nicole has been published in the June 2011 issue of L.A. Tails Pet Magazine.
In December 2011, Nicole and her Papillon mixed breed dog Lucas were featured in FX Network's "DVD on TV" "Marley
& Me" episode, demonstrating Agility and Tricks and training the host Dave Holmes' dog!
Over the years, Nicole has trained many Therapy Dogs, Show Dogs, and Service Puppies-In-Training, as well as countless Cherished Family Pets.
