NICOLE BERTHIAUME has been offering Professional Dog Training in the Pasadena, CA area since 2000, and LA County since 2004. After volunteering at the Pasadena Humane Society for one year, Nicole began her career as a Senior Pet Trainer at a local PetSmart. She worked successfully with hundreds of dogs and their "parents" over her 3 years there, while forming some wonderful and long-lasting relationships with many of her clients. Nicole also worked as a Pet Counselor and Veterinary Assistant within Banfield the Pet Hospital during this time.
Nicole then earned her Counseling Certificate in Dog Behavior from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, widely regarded as the "Harvard for Dog Trainers," before founding Teacher's Pet Dog Training.
Nicole is a Certified Evaluator for the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Program, and is a Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. She has also served as a Mentor for students enrolled in the Animal Behavior College's Dog Trainer Certification program.
Nicole and her little Papillon-mix Lucas especially love to demonstrate and teach Trick Training together, as well as Amateur Agility.
Over the years, Nicole has trained many Therapy Dogs, Show Dogs, and Service Puppies-In-Training, as well as countless Cherished Family Pets.
